This one really, really hurts.  In fact, I’m still a bit in shock.

George Carlin was a rare individual that challenged social and religious mores through the brilliant use of comedy.  When many comedians were espousing “safe” material, George was a maverick that used his gift to make people think about the world around them and their place in it.  I know he had this effect on me.

No subjects were taboo.  He was incredibly, incredibly entertaining and, by all accounts, a kind, enderaring man.

He will be very sorely missed.

I stole the link and idea for this because it was so awesome on Laura Hudson’s blog (sorry Laura… please don’t spite me) by way of mightygodking.com (sorry mighty god kings… please don’t spite me) and because I am really, really lazy.  In fact, I may be Laziest in King and Snohomish County, which would put me in the running for Laziest Worldwide.

  This scares the hell out of me.  What happens when they attack?  Seriously, can’t anyone see this ending badly?
• Battlefield: Bad Company “Snake Eyes” Trailer
  They were right.  Combat HAS changed.  But I still prefer to blow stuff up.
• Napping Is Good for You
  I have always been a staunch supporter of taking naps.  In fact, I used to take them without any provocation or suggestion by my mother when I was a kid (weird, I know) and have always supported at-work napping (especially during marketing meetings). But now it turns out they are good for you.  I’m printing this thing out and putting it on my office door.  The revolution has to start somewhere.
• NHL 2008 Entry Draft Starts Friday
  For the first time ever, the annual NHL Entry Draft starts on a Friday during prime time, meaning I won’t have to get up early on a Saturday morning to witness all the drama.  Unlike other sports, these drafts are interesting because teams spend a lot of time jockeying for position and trading players and stuff.  It’s a crazy and unpredictable ride.  Good times. 
• Dog Plucks Boy From Platte
  This is why dogs totally rule.  Well, just one of the reasons.

Tomorrow: Juan returns to Friday Night Fights!

I actually started this thing one year ago today.  But it doesn’t really count because of the lack of blah-gature between September and March.  And the month of May.

This may be the most important comic in the history of ever.

And I can totally picture Iron Man as Jan.

Hey, isn’t he supposed to have a big skull thingie on his chest? Do you think they’ll add it in post? I want this to not suck so badly.
